Security has been tightened in the vicinity of
Nithyananda Dhyanapeetam in Bidadi in Ramanagaram district on Sunday
night following a flash protest by Kannada activists against the return
of controversial godman Nithyananda to the ashram.
Nithyananda,
who was embroiled in a sex scandal, returned to the ashram on Sunday
soon after Sri Arunagirinathar, the 292nd head of Madurai Adheenam,
removed him from the position of junior seer of the adheenam.
Tyres burnt
Members
of a Kannada organisation demonstrated and burned tyres in front of the
Nithyananda Dhyanapeetam in Bidadi demanding the controversial godman
leave Karnataka. The ashram residents locked all entry points.
“Sri
Arunagirinathar has sacked Nithyananda from his successor’s post.
Nithyananda should leave Karnataka until charges registered against him
are dropped,” a protester told

The Ramanagaram police chased away the protesters
but as a precautionary measure, moved Karnataka State Reserve Police
personnel to the ashram to ensure the safety of the inmates.
“The situation is peaceful,” Deputy Superintendent of Police (Ramanagaram Subdivision) Ramalingappa, said
on Sunday night.

Oh god, this Nithy guy is a real headache. Why doesnt he straight away go to jail where he belongs? Now the people of Karnataka has to deal with this filth.
