Nithyananda's ashram has moved the Madras high court against a showcause notice issued by the Tamil Nadu government.
The notice dated October 11 was issued under Section 59 of the HR&CE Act. It asked the ashram management to explain its activities and the fate of donations collected from devotees and public.
When the petition filed by ashram manager Nithya Pranananda, came up for admission Justice N Paul Vasanthakumar declined to hear the matter and directed the registry to post it before another judge.
The petition by Nithyananda's ashram contended that the dhyanapeetam was neither a temple nor a Hindu religious public institution to come under the HR&CE Act. "It is a public charity formed with an intention of propagating yoga and meditation."
Nithyananda , who is embroiled in several controversies and facing criminal charges including rape, was recently removed as the successor of the mutt head of Madurai Aadheenam, a 1500- year-old Saivite mutt.
The appointment of the self-styled godman hailing from
Karnataka one and half years ago as the successor of the Madurai Aadheenam head Arunagirinatha Desikar was widely condemned by Hindu religious bodies and even the government.

To qualify as charity it has to actually do some charity work. Govt should check the account books for past few years of the great Dhyanapeetam, number of tax evasion cases can be filed out of that alone.
ReplyDeleteso called charitable "Nithyananda Foundation" registered in USA (where there has been no media influence) has been objectively found to be a fraud foundation. And your greate Nithy is an agent of the foundation. The only corruptive media is your enTV. If the general media get hold of information about all the wrong doings of Nithy not even the true god can save him from a Lynching. The sex NDA done for him with several disciples alone disqualifies any organization run by Nithy as charitable. It is shameful how you keep harping about the media. Take a hard look at the false information propagated by Nithy's enTV media first.
ReplyDeleteSo completely ridiculous...Lies, lies and more lies. The deities have been consecrated through "prana pratishta ceremony". There are pujas done in morning and at night, daily arathi. Not a Hindu temple or religious institution is blatantly false. So much evidence to prove this is not true. Wonder how much the authorities are getting paid to accept this one.
ReplyDeleteHe is making a complete mockery of the justice system in India. Pathetic.
Thanks for great information you write it very clean. I am very lucky to get this tips from you.
