Karnataka High Court has delivered a welcome judgment on 16th July 2014, ordering Nithyananda to submit to the mandatory medical test and also to give his voice samples to authenticate his phone conversation (which is Nithyananda's confession to the whistleblower about his acts.

Nithyananda to undergo medical test

பெங்களூர்: ஆண்மை பரிசோதனை செய்ய வேண்டும் என்ற போலீசாரின் கோரிக்கை யை ஏற்கக் கூடாது என்று நித்யானந்தா தாக்கல் செய்த மனுவை கர்நாடக உயர் நீதிமன்றம் தள்ளுபடி செய்து தீர்ப்பளித்தது. கர்நாடக மாநிலம், ராம்நகரம் மாவட்டம், பிடதியில் உள்ள தியான பீடத்தின்  மடாதிபதி நித்யானந்தா மீது கர்நாடகாவில் பல வழக்குகள் பதிவாகியுள்ளது. கடந்த இரண்டாண்டுகளுக்கு முன் அவர் அளித்த பேட்டி ஒன்றில் தனக்கு ஆண்மை சக்தி இல்லை என்று கூறியிருந்தார். அதை மறுத்த பிடதி போலீசார், நித்யானந்தாவு க்கு ஆண்மை பரிசோதனையும், ரத்த பரிசோதனை நடத்த அனுமதி கோரி ராம்நகரம் மாவட்ட அமர்வு நீதிமன்றத்தில் மனு தாக்கல் செய்தனர். 

அதையேற்று பரிசோதனைக்கு ஒத்துழைக்கும்படி நித்யானந்தாவுக்கு நீதிமன்றம் உத்தரவிட்டது. மாவட்ட அமர்வு நீதிமன்றத்தின் தீர்ப்பை எதிர்த்து கர்நாடக உயர் நீதிமன்றத்தில் நித்யானந்தா மேல்முறையீடு  செய்தார். அதில் ராம்நகரம் மாவட்டம், பிடதி போலீ சார் தன் மீது தொடர்ந்துள்ள ஆண்மை பரிசோதனை, ரத்த பரிசோதனை உள்பட அனைத்து வழக்குகளையும் ரத்து செய்ய வேண்டும் என்று கூறியிருந்தார். அம்மனு நேற்று உயர் நீதிமன்றத்தில் விசாரணைக்கு வந்தது. நித்யானந்தா சார்பில் ஆஜரான வக்கீல் தனது கட்சிக்காரர் மீது பொய் வழக்கு பதிவு செய்துள்ளதால், அதை ரத்து செய்ய வேண்டும் என்றார். அரசு தரப்பில் ஆஜரான வக்கீல், நித்யானந்தா மீது பலர் போலீஸ் நிலையத்தில் புகார் கொடுத்துள்ளனர். 

அந்த புகார் மனு மீது விசாரணை நடத்தி தீர்வு காண வேண்டியது அரசின் கடமை என்பதால் நித்யானந்தா தாக்கல் செய்துள்ள மனுவை ஏற்கக் கூடாது என்றார்.இருதரப்பு வாதங்களை யும் கேட்டபின் நீதிமன்றம் பிறப்பித்த உத்தரவில், நித்யானந்தா மீது பலர் கொடுத்துள்ள புகாரின் அடிப்படையில் வழக்கு பதிவு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது. இந்த வழக்கை மனுதாரர் கண்டிப்பாக சந்திக்க வேண்டும். ஆகவே வழக்குகளை ரத்து செய்ய வேண்டும் என்ற கோரிக்கையை ஏற்க முடியாது. ஆகவே நித்யானந்தாவின் மனுவை தள்ளுபடி செய்கிறேன். மேலும் நித்யானந்தா மீதான வழக்கு விசாரணையை ராம்நகரம் மாவ ட்ட அமர்வு நீதிமன்றம் ஜூலை 28ம் தேதி முதல் சாட்சிகள் விசாரணையுடன் தொடங்க வேண்டும். மேலும் நித்யானந்தாவிடம் ஆண்மை பரிசோதனை செய்ய வேண்டும் என்று போலீசார் விரும்பினால், அதை செய்யலாம். அதற்கு நித்யானந்தா ஒத்துழைப்பு கொடுக்க வேண்டும். ஒருவேளை அவர் ஒத்துழைப்பு கொடுக்க மறுத்தால் கைது செய்து பரிசோதனை செய்ய போலீசாருக்கு அனுமதி வழங்குவதாக தீர்ப்பில் கூறியது.

Nithyananda ordered to give up Bidadi ashram Land

Nithyananda has been ordered by Ramanagar District Collector to give up the agricultural land, which he had illegally used for commercial purpose at his Bidadi ashram. As per law, agricultural land must be used only for agricultural purposes. Nithyananda however obtained the land by claiming himself to be an agriculturist!!! Later he applied to convert the 23 acres of land into commercial land. Ramnagar DC yesterday rejected Nithyananda's conversion application, and confirmed that the 23 acres land at his Bidadi  ashram have been illegally used by Nithyananda for purposes other than agriculture. The DC has ordered Nithyananda to surrender all such ashram land immediately and that legal action will be taken against him.

ஆண்மை பரிசோதனை நடத்த தடையில்லை: பிடதி ஆசிரமத்தை சேர்ந்த பெண் ஒருவர், நித்யானந்தா, தன்னை, பாலியல் பலாத்காரம் செய்தார் என, பெங்களூரு ராம்நகர் போலீசில் புகார் செய்தார். இவ்வழக்கு, ராம்நகர் மாவட்ட நீதிமன்றத்தில் நடந்து வந்தது.அப்போது, தனக்கு ஆண்மை இல்லை. அதனால், ஒரு பெண்ணை, பாலியல் பலாத்காரம் செய்ய இயலாது என, நித்யானந்தா மனு செய்தார்.இதையடுத்து, அவருக்கு ஆண்மை பரிசோதனை செய்யும்படி, நீதிமன்றம் உத்தரவிட்டது. ஆனால், போலீசார் அவரை பலமுறை அழைத்தும், நித்யானந்தா வரவில்லை.
 

இதற்கிடையில், 'ஆண்மை பரிசோதனை, ரத்த பரிசோதனை என, தன் மீது போடப்பட்டுள்ள அனைத்து வழக்குகளையும் ரத்து செய்ய வேண்டும்' என, நித்யானந்தா, கர்நாடகா உயர்நீதிமன்றத்தில் மனு செய்தார்.இவ்வழக்கின் தீர்ப்பு: அதில், 'நித்யானந்தாவுக்கு ஆண்மை பரிசோதனை, ரத்த பரிசோதனை செய்ய அனுமதி அளிக்கப்படுகிறது. இதற்கு அவர், ஒத்துழைக்க வேண்டும். இல்லாவிட்டால், அவரை, போலீஸ் காவலில் எடுத்து, பரிசோதனைக்கு உட்படுத்தலாம்' என, தீர்ப்பில் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

Medical tests: HC dismisses Nithyananda’s plea

The Karnataka High Court on Wednesday gave the green signal to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to interrogate Nithyananda of Nithyananda Dhyanapeetam, besides subjecting him to medical tests to find out if he was capable of having sexual intercourse, and to collect his voice sample.

Justice S.N. Satyanarayana passed the order while dismissing Nithyananda’s petition, in which he had questioned the 2012 order passed by the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) of Ramanagaram.

The CID in February 2010 had filed charge sheet against him for offences such as rape, unnatural sex, criminal intimidation, and criminal conspiracy based on a complaint from a devotee.

As the CID, after filing of charge sheet, received complaint from more devotees alleging rape, the investigating officer decided to continue the investigation and sought the court’s direction to Nithyananda to appear before the investigating officer and subject him to medical tests.

The CJM’s court on June 18, 2012 allowed CID’s plea and directed Nithyananda to subject himself to medical tests. However, on Nithyananda’s plea, the High Court stayed the permission granted to the CID by the CJM’s court in Ramanagaram.

While dismissing Nithyananda’s plea, the High Court on Wednesday upheld the order of the CJM’s court and permitted the CID to interrogate him.

Meanwhile, the High Court also dismissed the petitions filed by the other accused in the case — Nithya Bhakthananda, Nithya Sadananda, Ma Nithya Sachitananda, and Nithya Sachitananda, who were said to have aided Nithyananda in committing the alleged crime.

Medical test on Nithya: HC vacates stay

The High Court on Wednesday dismissed a batch of petitions filed by Nithyananda, seeking that the investigations against him be quashed.

Justice S N Satyanarayana observed, “This court cannot interfere in the matters and investigations must continue.”

The court vacated the stay order on the order of the Ramanagar court, dated June 18, 2012, for medical test of Nithyananda in connection with rape charges against him. The Court directed the police to take Nithyananda into custody, if he does not comply with the trial court order for medical test.

The Court also vacated the stay on investigations by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) against Nithyananda, in various cases including the rape charges by Aarthi Rao, one of his devotees.

It also dismissed a petition by devotees Gopala Reddy, Shivavallabhaneni, Ragini and Dhanashekar, who are accused no. 2, 3 4 and 5 in the case filed against Nithyananda by Lenin, his former driver. The case pertains to the self-styled godman’s relationship with actor Ranjitha. It has been referred for CID probe.

Nithyananda must undergo potency test and voice test - Karnataka High Court orders

Justice has prevailed. Hon’ble High Court of Karnataka has ordered Nithyananda to undergo the medical test and voice test as ordered by Ramangara Court Magistrate in Jun 2012. Court has ordered that he should be taken into custody and tests ordered by Ramanagara court be conducted. Hon’ble court has also dismissed all the petitions filed by Accused 2, 3, 4, and 5 to quash the chargesheet.

All attempts by the accused to stall the process for the last 4 years using their lawyers have failed, as the Hon’ble High Court has seen through their delay tactics. The court on finding their case to be without any merits has dismissed all 4 petitions  by the 5 accused and sent them to face the trial. The Hon’ble Court has further ordered that proceedings in the lower court (at Ramanagara) must commence forthwith starting 28/7/2014.

பாலியல் வழக்கில் நித்தியானந்தாவிடம் ஆண்மை பரிசோதனை நடத்த கர்நாடக உயர் நீதிமன்றம் அனுமதி வழங்கி உத்தரவிட்டுள்ளது.

கர்நாடக மாநிலம் பிடதியில் அமைந்துள்ள நித்தியானந்தா தியானபீடத்தில் நடிகை ரஞ்சிதாபுடன் ஆபாசமாக நடந்து கொண்டதாக பாலியல் வழக்கு பதிவுசெய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது.

இந்த வழக்கு தொடர்பாக நித்தியானந்தாவிடம் ஆண்மை பரிசோதனை செய்ய அனுமதி வழங்கி ராமநகரம் மாவட்ட நீதிமன்றம் ஏற்கெனவே தீர்ப்பு வழங்கியிருந்தது.

இந்த வழக்கு தொடர்பாக ராமநகரம் மாவட்ட நீதிமன்றம் அளித்திருந்த தீர்ப்புகளுக்கு எதிராக நித்தியானந்தா தாக்கல் செய்திருந்த 4 மனுக்களைவிசாரித்த கர்நாடக உயர்நீதிமன்றம் ஆண்மை பரிசோதனை, மருத்துவப் பரிசோதனை செய்ய, சிஐடி விசாரணை நடத்த இடைக்கால தடைவிதித்திருந்தது.

இந்நிலையில், நித்தியானந்தா தாக்கல் செய்த 4 மனுக்கள் மீதான விசாரணை கர்நாடக உயர் நீதிமன்றத்தில் நீதிபதி சத்தியநாராயணா முன்னிலையில் விசாரணைக்கு வந்தது.

அப்போது ஆண்மை பரிசோதனை, மருத்துவப் பரிசோதனை நடத்துவதற்கு விதித்திருந்த இடைக்கால தடையை நீக்கி நித்தியானந்தாவின் 4 மனுக்களையும் உயர் நீதிமன்றம் தள்ளுபடி செய்து உத்தரவிட்டது.

ஜூலை 28 ஆம் தேதி நித்தியானந்தாவிடம் ஆண்மை பரிசோதனை மற்றும் மருத்துவப் பரிசோதனை நடத்துமாறும், இந்த வழக்கு விசாரணைக்கு நித்தியானந்தா ஒத்துழைக்காவிட்டால் தங்கள் வசம் எடுத்துக்கொண்டு விசாரணை நடத்துமாறு காவல் துறையினருக்கு உயர்நீதிமன்றம் அனுமதி வழங்கி தீர்ப்பளித்துள்ளது.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು, ಜು.16: ಸ್ವಯಂ ಘೋಷಿತ ದೇವ ಮಾನವ ನಿತ್ಯಾನಂದ ಸ್ವಾಮೀಜಿ ಅವರ ಪುರುಷತ್ವ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆ ನಡೆಸಲು ಇದ್ದ ತಡೆಯಾಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನು ಹೈಕೋರ್ಟ್ ಬುಧವಾರ ತೆರವುಗೊಳಿಸಿದೆ. ಈ ಮೂಲಕ ನಿತ್ಯಾನಂದ ಅವರು ಕ್ರಿಮಿನಲ್ ಕೇಸಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಸಿಐಡಿಯಿಂದ ವಿಚಾರಣೆ, ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಗೆ ಒಳಪಡಬೇಕಿದೆ. ನಿತ್ಯಾನಂದ ಆಶ್ರಮವಾಸಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದ ಆರತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಇನ್ನಿತರು ನೀಡಿದ್ದ ದೂರನ್ನು ಆಧಾರವಾಗಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡು ಸಿಐಡಿ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಸಿಆರ್ ಪಿಸಿ 53(ಎ) ಅಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ವಿಚಾರಣೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಹೈಕೋರ್ಟ್ ನ್ಯಾ. ವಿ ಜಗನ್ನಾಥನ್ ಅವರಿರುವ ನ್ಯಾಯಪೀಠ ನೀಡಿರುವ ಆದೇಶದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಸಿಐಡಿ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಈ ಕೂಡಲೇ ನಿತ್ಯಾನಂದ ಸ್ವಾಮೀಜಿಯನ್ನು ಬಂಧಿಸಿ ವಿಚಾರಣೆಗೆ ಒಳಪಡಿಸಬಹುದಾಗಿದೆ. ಬಿಡದಿ ಧ್ಯಾನಪೀಠದ ನಿತ್ಯಾನಂದ ಸ್ವಾಮೀಜಿಯನ್ನು ಪುರುಷತ್ವ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆ, ಧ್ವನಿ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಇತರರನ್ನು ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಗೆ ಒಳಪಡಿಸಲು ರಾಮನಗರದ ಮ್ಯಾಜಿಸ್ಟ್ರೇಟ್ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹೈಕೋರ್ಟ್‌ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಿಸಿದೆ. ಜು.28ರಿಂದ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ವಿಚಾರಣೆ ನಡೆಸಬಹುದು. ಆರೋಪಿಯನ್ನು ಕಸ್ಟಡಿಗೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಅನುಮತಿ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಆದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಳಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಲೈಂಗಿಕ ಕಿರುಕುಳ ಹಾಗೂ ಅತ್ಯಾಚಾರ ಆರೋಪಗಳ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪುರುಷತ್ವ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆ ನಡೆಸುವಂತೆ ಆದೇಶಿಸಿದ ರಾಮನಗರ ಕೋರ್ಟ್‌ ಆದೇಶ ನೀಡಿತ್ತು. ಈ ಆದೇಶವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸಿ ಬಿಡದಿಯ ನಿತ್ಯಾನಂದ ಸ್ವಾಮೀಜಿ ಸೋಮವಾರ ಹೈಕೋರ್ಟ್‌ಗೆ ಅರ್ಜಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದರು. [ನಿತ್ಯಾನಂದ 'ಗುರು' ಪೂರ್ಣಿಮೆಗೆ ಅಡ್ಡಿ] ಬಿಡದಿ ಧ್ಯಾನದ ಮಠದ ಭಕ್ತಾದಿಗಳು ನಿತ್ಯಾನಂದ ಸ್ವಾಮಿ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಅತ್ಯಾಚಾರ ಹಾಗೂ ಲೈಂಗಿಕ ಕಿರುಕುಳ ಪ್ರಕರಣಗಳನ್ನು ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ತಮ್ಮ ವಿರುದ್ಧದ ಆರೋಪಗಳನ್ನು ತಳ್ಳಿ ಹಾಕಿದ್ದ ನಿತ್ಯಾನಂದ ಸ್ವಾಮೀಜಿ, ತಮಗೆ ಲೈಂಗಿಕ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತೊಡಗುವ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಪ್ರತಿಪಾದಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಈ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ವಿಸ್ತಾರವಾಗಿ ಅಮೆರಿಕ ವೈದ್ಯರು ನೀಡಿರುವ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಪತ್ರವನ್ನು ಆಶ್ರಮ ವೆಬ್ ತಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಆದರೆ, ನಿತ್ಯಾನಂದ ಸ್ವಾಮೀಜಿಯನ್ನು ಪುರುಷತ್ವ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಗೆ ಒಳಪಡಿಸುವಂತೆ ರಾಮನಗರ ಜೆಎಂಎಫ್ಸಿ ಕೋರ್ಟ್‌ ಜೂನ್‌ 12., 2012ರಂದು ಆದೇಶಿಸಿತ್ತು. ಇದನ್ನು ಹೈಕೋರ್ಟ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸಿದ್ದ ನಿತ್ಯಾನಂದ ಸ್ವಾಮೀಜಿ ಪರ ವಕೀಲರಾದ ಸಿವಿ ನಾಗೇಶ್ ಅವರು, ಜೆಎಂಎಫ್ಸಿ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯದ ಆದೇಶ ರದ್ದು ಮಾಡುವಂತೆ ಕೋರಿದ್ದರು. ಆದರೆ, ತಡೆಯಾಜ್ಞೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿತ್ತು. ಈಗ ಪುರುಷತ್ವ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆ ನಡೆಸುವಂತೆ ಹೈಕೋರ್ಟ್ ಏಕಸದಸ್ಯ ಪೀಠ ಆದೇಶಿಸಿದೆ.

Just hours after being granted bail by a court in Ramanagar, controversial self-styled godman Nithyananda was re-arrested on Thursday and remanded to one-day judicial custody on charges of disturbing the peace.

Nithyananda, arrested on Wednesday after he appeared before a court to surrender in an assault case, was slapped with a fresh case of disturbing the peace in Ramanagara and surrounding areas of Nithyananda Ashram at Bidadi near Ramanagar.

He was arrested under different IPC Sections, including 151 (relating to disturbance of the public peace) and sent to one-day judicial custody, Ramanagara Superintendent of Police Anupam Agarwal said.

Agarwal said Nithyananda would be taken to Mysore Central Prison to avoid any untoward incidents and added that the case would be heard tomorrow and the Deputy Commissioner would take a further decision in the matter.

"Nithyananda has been exempted from personally attending the court. However, his lawyer will appear for him tomorrow," Agarwal said.

Earlier in the day, Ramanagara Judicial First Class Magistrate Komala granted bail to Nithyananda subject to him furnishing one surety and a personal bond of Rs.50,000.

Public Prosecutor K Mohan Kumar said bail had been granted to Nithyananda since assault and life threat case against him were bailable.

The self-styled godman, already facing criminal charges, including rape and out on bail after his arrest in 2010, courted fresh trouble when police on June 8 booked him and his followers for allegedly assaulting a mediaperson at a press conference at his ashram at nearby Bidadi.

Even as he faced the police action, Nithyananda filed a writ petition in the High Court seeking Rs.10 crore as damages to his ashram property from the state government.

Chief Minister D V Sadananda, Ramanagar District Deputy Commissioner and others have been named in the petition.

Condoms, drugs and secret contracts... the story of why Nithyananda is in trouble

Controversial self-styled godman Nithyananda Paramahamsa, who went missing for five days after fresh charges of rape and confinement were levelled against him, was sent to jail for a day by a local court in Ramanagara, about 30 km from Bangalore on Wednesday.

The tainted guru, who had gone into hiding, prompting the Karnataka police to launch a massive manhunt to trace him, surrendered before the Ramanagara district court judge on Wednesday afternoon. Judge Komala remanded him to judicial custody for a day directing him to appear before the court on Thursday to hear his bail plea.

On Tuesday, the police evicted the occupants of Nithyananda's ashram in Bidari on Bangalore's outskirts and searched the premises. They were horrified to find a dump of condoms and ganja in the corner of a compound. The police sealed the ashram for further investigation.

A team of the police had gone to Madurai in Tamil Nadu to search for Nithyananda as he was recently anointed as the 293rd pontiff of the Adheenam Mutt.

On Tuesday, Karnataka Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda ordered the arrest of Nithyananda after several of his followers appeared on a private Kannada TV channel and accused the godman of exploiting them.

Arathi Rao, a follower of Nithyananda, gave a detailed account of her five-year experience with the guru. She alleged that Nithyananda repeatedly raped her and threatened her with dire consequences if she revealed it to anybody. Arathi also claimed that it was she who had secretly filmed Nithyananda's sex tapes with a Tamil actress.

Though Arathi had not lodged any formal complaint with the police fearing repercussions, it was sufficient for the government to order a probe against Nithyananda. Initially, his followers tried to bravely defend Nithyananda by accusing Arathi of carrying out a slanderous campaign against their guru.

Things went out of control when the followers of Nithyananda evicted the journalist of the Kannada TV channel, which aired Arathi Rao's interview, from the ashrama and allegedly beat him up.

The attack on the media prompted several Kannada organisations to vandalise Nithyananda's ashram. The police registered an FIR against Nithyananda and his followers on the basis of a complaint lodged by the media.

Nithyananda had approached the high court seeking to quash the FIR filed against him. The court has adjourned hearing into the matter to Friday.

This is the second time that Nithyananda had gone into hiding. After the sex tapes went public in April last year, Nithyananda had moved into a secret location in Himachal Pradesh from where he was apprehended. At present, the Karnataka police CID is probing the old cases against Nithyananda.

Last year, public mounted pressure on the government after it was revealed that Nithyananda had forced some of his followers to sign a non-disclosure agreement to experiment with tantric sex.

"The volunteer understands that the programme may involve the learning and practice of ancient tantric secrets associated with male and female ecstasy, including the use of sexual energy for increased intimacy/spiritual connection, pleasure, harmony and freedom," said one of the clauses in the agreement.

This created furore as it was alleged that the guru was exploiting women by making them sign the contract. The CID is probing those charges as well.

Reminiscence of an ex-follower

Today is a day that fills me with great pain, as well as the joy of freedom. Today is the day I was liberated from the mental shackles of Nithyananda’s cult, while he stood exposed as the avatar of moral corruption!

I was one of the thousands of devotees who had dedicated my life to Nithyananda’s mission. But I was not just a devotee on the fringe, attending a few free events or programs. I was an organizer and coordinator for many years, working closely with Nithyananda and his ashram, receiving awards and accolades for my service to his mission.

I was a hard core “Nithyananda missionary”. I call myself that because I worked with a missionary zeal for several years to convince every tom, dick and harry that he must meet Nithyananda at least once in his lifetime, assuring them their life will change dramatically.

And I did it because I believed with every cell of my body that Nithyananda was the greatest enlightened master to be alive, that Nithyananda was on a noble mission to enlighten the world. I believed that Gandhiji, my guru before Nithyananda, was a merely great human being who lived an exemplary life of truth and courage. But Nithyananda was no mere mortal, that he was God incarnate, and worthy of every bit of regard, respect and trust that every one of us devotees placed on him.

But 2 years ago, on this day I was stunned to see that he was just another ordinary man! And what was even more disgusting was events that followed - Nithyananda disappearing for almost a month, making self-contradictory statements from a hideout (about his experiments in bed, about his parivaraja of 9 years, etc), admitting to few devotees about his actions and denying it publicly, so many standard tactics while in custody (including the chest pain on his way to police station), a sex contract (never heard of any great master creating such a contract!!!!!!) and many more!

Suddenly all the lies were unfolding, and all the inconsistencies I had been made to ignore seemed to complete the jigsaw puzzle called Nithyananda! I could hardly deny the truth that was staring in my face… that Nithyananda fell short of even an ordinary human being.

I would have had much more respect for him, even as just an ordinary human being, if he had displayed the most basic decency to admit to his human folly and apologize to his millions of followers worldwide for misleading them into believing him to be something else!

Nithyananda is no comparison to an exemplary man like Gandhi, where is the question of him being an enlightened master like Ramakrishna or even a God incarnate like Rama or Krishna! I was most disturbed by my realization that Nithyananda is the most untrustworthy man and that I wasted several years of my life in his service.

I have heard many use the words ‘crook’, ‘conman’, ‘fraud’, etc to refer to him, and it is hard to deny them. I have heard his followers vehemently argue about his teachings being great, about their personal spiritual experiences being inexplicable. There are many great teachings in great books and scriptures, and many great teachers who have come and gone. And there are many who claim to have great ‘spiritual experiences’ on LSD or marijuana!

I say to his followers - call a spade a spade. Claim he is a great teacher, maybe even an extraordinary teacher who presents the works of many others in his own style as simple ideas. Nobody will expect him to be the most virtuous, truthful, honest, dharmic person on earth. But don’t call him divine and an incarnation when his life is not an open book, when he leads a secret double life, when he cannot even be truthful in public about himself, and worst of all, when critics are attacked viciously with hate and vengeance while claiming to be a spiritual and compassionate master!!

The usual escapism that it is not Nithyananda who attacks the critics, its only his followers doing it is the most ridiculous statement to save a spiritual leader! Even the CEO of a company is held responsible for the actions/mistakes of his employees, then how much more responsibility lies on the shoulders of one who claims to be an enlightened spiritual leader, or an avatara purusha?!

The vengeance of his followers can only be a sad reflection of his own state! If this is the effect he has on his followers, then he is definitely not a spiritual leader, but has every indication of a cult leader!

Everything that has happened over the last 2 years has made me realize that I was an unfortunate victim of deceit and manipulation by a very clever and convincing cult leader.

My mind had been imprisoned in Nithyanada’s glorified and illusory world of lies, deception and make believe. And the unfortunate reality is - I see the same sad programmed/brainwashed beliefs and talks by those devotees who still vehemently argue for him!

If you are still believing Nithyananda to be a truly spiritual person, an enlightened master or an incarnation, please wake up from the mental slavery of this cult. Don’t waste your life, or it may be to late when you wake up to the truth!

I am ever grateful to the divine mother parashakti, for liberating me from the maya of Nithyananda, and saving thousands, if not millions through dharma. My mental shackles have been destroyed and I am free from the most dangerous kind of prison - a prison without walls!!

Nityananda Fans Upset With 'Ayyare'

Amidst a big high-drama all these days, the film that made headlines because of a pungent controversy finally escaped itself into theatres. More than anyone else, the fans of this sex-scandal accused Swamy are hurt a lot.

AYYARE, the film that features senior hero Rajendra Prasad in the role of a Swamiji, mimicking the costumes and mannerisms of Nityananda is finally released. The film garnered a positive talk on day one itself with its first show. Sex (Swami???????) Nithyananda gets conditional bail

The man who has come to be known as Bangalore's sex swami has been granted conditional bail.

Swami Nityananda was arrested in April. He was found in Himachal Pradesh after a sex scandal erupted at his ashram near Bangalore. In March, local media aired a video that allegedly shows the swami with a Tamil actress. (Read: 'Sex Swami' Nithyananda arrested in Himachal)

He has since been charged with rape and unnatural sex.

He's likely to be released from jail on Monday. He has been asked to provide a one-lakh bond, and to surrender his passport. He has also been forbidden from public discourses. He'll have to report to a local police station once every fortnight.

The controversy surrounding Nityananda includes the discovery that he allegedly asked female followers to sign a 'sex contract' as a preemptive move against legal action. (Read: Swami's alleged sex CD sells for Rs 1,000)

The document alerts signees to possible participations in activities that "involve nudity... close physical proximity and intimacy, verbal and written descriptions and audio sounds of a sexually oriented, and erotic nature."

Nityananda has resigned as the head of his ashram and the different trusts it controls.

Nithyananda’s Sex CD Genuine, says CFSL

Bangalore, Jun 10 (DHNS): Setting to rest all speculations, the Hyderabad-based Central Forensics Science Laboratory (CFSL) has authenticated that the Nithyananda sex video involving Tamil actress Ranjitha is authentic.

According to details of the analysis that were sent four days ago to the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID), which is investigating the case, the video, which was clandestinely recorded by a former Nithyananda devotee inside the godman’s bedroom in his Bidadi ashram near here, is genuine.

The CID will present this fact before the Karnataka High Court on Thursday when Nithyananda’s bail application comes up for hearing. The CFSL analysis nails the godman and his devotees’ claims that the video was fake and that it had been doctored and morphed. Immediately after the scandal broke out on March 2, Nithyananda had claimed that some of his senior devotees had sent a copy of the video for analysis to London - a step which was never taken.

On Wednesday, the Ramanagara sessions court extended the judicial custody of Nithyananda and a senior devotee Gopal Sheelum Reddy, alias Bhaktananda, till June 23. Chief Judicial Magistrate Pushpavathi agreed with the Public Prosecutor Lokesh who sought an extension in the self-styled godman’s custody on the ground that the police needed time to interrogate him further.

Theory refused

The judge refused to buy the theory of defence counsel Vaidvyas who opposed an extension. The two were arrested while in hiding in Solan, Himachal Pradesh, on April 21.

CID sources said on conditions of anonymity that now that the CFSL analysis was available, it would go in for matching of individual picture profiles of Nithyananda and Ranjitha to conclusively establish that the persons seen featured in the video are indeed the godman and the actress who continues to elude the CID.

Police sources believe that an “elaborate charade” was being enacted by the actress, who is believed to be in hiding abroad, to avoid being examined by the CID sleuths. “But we will ensure that Ranjitha is examined. If need be investigators will visit her in Chennai if that is the location she wishes to be examined,” an official said.


Nithyananda-Rajitha Sex Tape Not Tampered

The videotape that exposed controversial spiritual guru Nithyananda Swami’s alleged sexcapades leading to a criminal case against him by the Chennai police and subsequently the Bidadi police and Karnataka’s Criminal Investigation Department is “genuine” and “untampered”, said highly placed official sources.

The videotape was sent for forensic verification by the CID, which is investigating the case.

The forensic experts have certified that the tape is “original, unedited and untampered. It has not been morphed,” said the source. Now the agency has asked the forensic experts for the video-authentification of the tape to rule out any possible doubt, of a Nithyananda look-alike in the tape.

The video allegedly shot by Nithyananda’s former devotee Lenin Karuppan in his ashram in Bidadi had the tainted guru with the Tamil actress Ranjitha in a compromising position.

The originality of the tape was questioned by his ashram – the Dhyanapeetham – and Nithyananda all through remained evasive when questioned if the man in the video footage was him. He however, on occasions reportedly identified the lady in the tape as Ranjitha but she had denied it.

This is the first evidence the CID has gathered against the jailed swami but even this does not strengthen the case against Nithyananda because till now not even one victim has deposed before the CID against him. -

Nithyananda’s sleazy video ‘authentic’

Forensic experts have confirmed that an amorous video allegedly showing Paramahamsa Nityananda alias Rajasekharan with a woman is “authentic” and there is no evidence of tinkering or fabrication, as claimed by the tainted godman.

Official sources told The Tribune that Forensic Science Laboratoy, Delhi, had done authentication test on two memory chips carrying the lewd video and found it genuine. DIG, CID, Bangalore, Charan Reddy told The Tribune that the case was at a sensitive stage and declined to comment, saying he had not received the report yet.

Sources said the positive report from the forensic experts would be another piece of evidence against the swami, who enjoyed a huge following before the video found its way to the public and he escaped.

The recorder was hidden in his private room and captured the bits of his colourful life during three days, December 23 to December 25, 2009. Police sources said they had sent two chips and a DVD, which was basically a duplicate of the content of the chips, and the report has nailed the swami’s lie that it was fabricated.

CP Singh, a leading forensic expert in audio-visual field and working with FSL, Delhi, was asked to probe the swami’s visuals because of his proven expertise. With it being clear that the video was authentic, the next logical step would be the police asking the forensic experts to check if it was indeed Nithyananda in the video.

The DIG said they were first interested about the authenticity of the video and would check the veracity of swami’s presence once they got the report. Though circumtantial evidence, including the fact the recording occurred in his private room, leaves not much room for doubts about the identity of the man, sources said.

After being on run for weeks, the self-styled godman was arrested from a Himachal Pradesh village, 50 km off Shimla, on April 21.

Nithyananda Bail Plea Hearing Adjourned to May 26th

The High Court on Tuesday adjourned the hearing on the bail plea of self-styled godman Nithyananda to May 26 along with that on his petition seeking defreezing of bank accounts. 

In the course of investigation into the sex scandal involving Nithyananda and Tamil actor Ranjitha, the CID has discovered 12 bank accounts, one of which had a deposit of over $ 7million (Rs 32 crore).
These accounts as well as financial dealingS of the trusts are being probed by the Enforcement Directorate and Income Tax department.

According to State Police, the Tamil Nadu police, while registering the case, had asked the banks to freeze these accounts to avoid misuse of money.
Nithyananda, in his petition, has said that the accounts be defreezed as the money is required to run the ashram.

The godman now in judicial custody has also moved the High Court seeking bail after the lower court rejected his bail application. Justice H S Kempanna adjourned hearing.

May 18: The Karnataka High Court on Tuesday further adjourned the hearing on the bail plea of controversial ‘godman’ Nithyananda Swami to May 26. Nithyannada had approached the court after a lower court rejected his bail plea.

Meanwhile, the court also adjourned a batch of petitions by four trusts operated by Nithyananda challenging the CID sleuths freezing his bank accounts as part of its investigation into the alleged sex scam. Justice B.S. Patil adjourned the petitions related to the freezing of his bank accounts.

The CID had communicated to the ICICI, Corporation and Canara Banks to freeze the accounts in the names of Dhyanapeeta Charitable Trust, Nithyananda Foundation, Nithyananda Dhyanapeeta, and Nithyanandeshwara Devasthana. The four trusts, run by Nithyananda, have challenged the CID action by filing petitions before the high court. The petitioners alleged that the action of the CID sleuths in freezing the banks accounts is in violation of the Supreme Court order in Kanchi Sankaracharya case.

Nithyananda had approached the high court on earlier occasions seeking a stay on the police investigation and to quash cases filed against him, which have been adjourned to May 26 for further hearing by the court. The CID sleuths have informed the court that they have collected evidence from at least 35 witnesses on the matter, and have also seized 23 hard disks from the Bidadi Ashram acting upon the search warrant issued by a lower court in Ramanagara. The bail plea of Nithya Bhaktananda, a disciple of Nithyananda, has also been adjourned to May 26 along with Nithyananda’s petition.

STAY ON DEMOLITION

The state high court on Tuesday stayed the demolition drive taken up by Bangalore Development Authority at Geddalahalli, RMV II stage. The court passed the orders after hearing a petition by owners of the houses demolished at Geddalahalli village near Sanjaynagar. The BDA had razed unauthorised structures on survey numbers 1/1, 1/2 and 1/4 of Geddalahalli village, and recovered 1.14 acres of land. It had brought down six RCC structures and 10 sheds.
According to the BDA, the land was originally acquired for RMV 2nd stage Layout in 1997 and encroached upon by some miscreants. Later, the recovered property was fenced by the BDA authorities.

Meanwhile, the petitioners alleged that as per BDA rules, if such land is not claimed within five years, it would automatically lapse. They further alleged that the BDA had undertaken the demolition drive without prior notice.

BANGALORE: The Karnataka High Court on Tuesday posted the hearing of Nithyananda’s bail petition to May 26 on the request of godman’s counsel.The counsel requested the court to post the case after the regular sittings of the court resumes on Monday so that is convenient for him to attend court.Swamy Nithyananda and his disciple Nithya Bakthananda have applied for bail in a case registered filed against them by Lenin Karuppan, the nephew and for mer disciple of the swamy.Nithyananda has also applied for an anticipatory bail in a cheating case filed against him by Vishwanath.Some of the followers of Nithyananda have filed a writ petition challenging CID’s move to freeze all the bank accounts.
