The High Court on Wednesday dismissed a batch of petitions filed by Nithyananda, seeking that the investigations against him be quashed.
Justice S N Satyanarayana observed, “This court cannot interfere in the matters and investigations must continue.”
The court vacated the stay order on the order of the Ramanagar court, dated June 18, 2012, for medical test of Nithyananda in connection with rape charges against him. The Court directed the police to take Nithyananda into custody, if he does not comply with the trial court order for medical test.

The Court also vacated the stay on investigations by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) against Nithyananda, in various cases including the rape charges by Aarthi Rao, one of his devotees.
It also dismissed a petition by devotees Gopala Reddy, Shivavallabhaneni, Ragini and Dhanashekar, who are accused no. 2, 3 4 and 5 in the case filed against Nithyananda by Lenin, his former driver. The case pertains to the self-styled godman’s relationship with actor Ranjitha. It has been referred for CID probe.
