Here’s the shocker, 'sex guru' Nithyananda did not undergo potency test

Credible sources from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), requesting anonymity told this newspaper that Nithyananda, allegedly, did not undergo the ‘potency test’ at the Institute of Nephro-Urology in Victoria Hospital on Monday as claimed and confirmed by the team of medical doctors.

“Nithyananda did not cooperate with the doctors and refused to take the injection that was mandatory for the potency test citing that he would suffer a cardiac arrest. While the investigating officials were trying to record his statement and wanted him to give it in writing, he refused to do that either” said the CID sources.

The godman refused to take the very injection that would have set off an erection, which is crucial to determining the potency of an individual, and in the accused’s case, whether he was capable of a sexual act.

Nithyananda insisted that he would suffer from a heart attack if he was given the injection. He also said that there was no necessity for him to take the injection as it was not mentioned as mandatory in any court order, sources from the CID revealed.

The sources also said however that they would wait for the results of the potency tests that will be submitted in a sealed envelope by the doctors to the investigating officers in a day or two. “We will have to record the godman’s statements and have to again move the court if we find discrepancies in the result,” added the sources.

It did not end there. Nithyananda also allegedly played mischief at the Forensic Science Laboratory in Madivala where he was taken for a voice test after he underwent the so-called potency test at Victoria Hospital. The godman apparently popped in some pills and had a swollen jaw by the time  he reached the forensic lab.

NEW TWIST in ‘Sex Swami’ Nithyananda’s potency test

Bangalore: In a new twist to self-declared godman Swami Nithyananda case, the Karnataka CID department is likely to move Karnataka High Court seeking permission to conduct another potency test on him.

Nithyananda, who was directed by Supreme Court to take a potency test in a rape case lodged by a former disciple in 2010, underwent the same on Tuesday. The Karnataka CID will reportedly move the high court before the final report of the test comes.

The godman underwent the test at Bangalore’s Victoria Hospital. It started at 7am and ended at 2:30pm.

He is being tried in Bangalore after one of his former disciples lodged a complaint and accused him of repeatedly raping her during her stay at his ashram, for five years. He was arrested in 2010 from Himachal Pradesh. A case was filed against him in 2012.

According to reports, one doctor of the 4-member team was quoted as saying that Nithyananda did not cooperate with a few tests initially but later had to do so.

The doctor was quoted as saying, "Usually a potency test is done at three levels." "First there needs to an NPTR (Nocturnal penile tumescence and rigidity) test which is usually done when the person is in deep sleep and his rigidity is recorded between 3 am and 5 am, since that is the time the erection is said to be the highest."

The report of the first potency test is expected to be submitted today.

The apex court had on 21 August reserved its verdict on Nithyananda’s plea. The Karnataka high court had on 1 August stayed the non-bailable arrest warrant issued by a Ramanagaram court against Nithyananda and four of his followers in connection with the case.

The high court had directed Nithyananda to present himself before the investigating officer for the medical test and appear before the chief judicial magistrate, Ramanagaram, on 18 August. It had passed the order on the petitions filed by Nithyananda and his followers questioning the 28 July order of the chief judicial magistrate.

  

In its 16 July order, the high court had upheld the 2012 order of the chief judicial magistrate, who had allowed the plea of the criminal investigation department to subject Nithyananda to a medical test to find out whether he was capable of having sexual intercourse, and also to collect his blood and voice samples.

Observing that Nithyananda had been granted regular bail, the high court in the 16 July order had made it clear that he should be taken into custody only for the limited purpose of subjecting him to a medical test and for collecting voice and blood samples, if he voluntarily failed to appear before the investigating officer.

Rape Case: Twist in godman Nithyananda's potency test

Bangalore, Sept 10: A latest twist in Nithyananda case amused many. According to sources, the self-styled godman might have to undergo another potency test in connection with the same rape case which has been hurled against him. Hours before the final report of his first potency test, media reports on Wednesday, Sept 10 stated that investigating team --

 "The second is a cue induced visual sexual test where the person is kept in a desired environment and an erection is induced in him either by giving tablets or injection to see if the penal mechanism is normal," the doctor added while describing the test procedure. The doctor also informed, "Finally a penile Doppler blood flow study is done to check the blood circulation in the semen." The first report of potency test was expected to submitted to the CID on Wednesday. The result was expected to change proceeding of the case as it may reveal the truth.

lபெங்களூர்: நித்தியானந்தாவிடம் பெங்களூர் விக்டோரியா அரசு மருத்துவமனை டாக்டர்கள் குழு முறையான ஆண்மை சோதனையை நடத்தவில்லை என்று பெங்களூர் சிஐடி போலீஸார் கூறுகிறார்கள். எனவே தேவைப்பட்டால் மீண்டும் சோதனை நடத்தக் கோரி கோர்ட்டை அணுகவும் அவர்கள் திட்டமிட்டுள்ளனராம். முன்னாள் சீடரான ஆர்த்தி ராவ் என்பவர், நித்தியானந்தா தன்னை பாலியல் பலாத்காரம் செய்து விட்டதாக கொடுத்த புகாரின் அடிப்படையில் பிடதி போலீஸார் வழக்குப் பதிவு செய்துள்ளனர். இந்த வழக்கில் நித்தியானந்தாவுக்கு ஆண்மை சோதனை நடத்த அவர்கள் தீர்மானித்து கோர்ட்டை நாடினர். இதை எதிர்த்து தொடர்ந்து வழக்குகளாகப் போட்டு வந்தார் நித்தியானந்தா. கடைசியில் உச்சநீதிமன்றம், கண்டிப்பாக ஆண்மை சோதனைக்கு நித்தியானந்தா உடன்பட வேண்டும் என்று கூறி விட்டது. இதையடுத்து 2 நாட்களுக்கு முன்பு பெங்களூர் விக்டோரியா அரசு மருத்துவமனையில் நித்தியானந்தாவுக்கு ஆண்மை சோதனை நடைபெற்றது.

சிரித்த முகத்துடன் என்ட்ரி இந்த சோதனைக்கு தனது சிஷ்ய கோடிகள் புடை சூழ சிரித்த முகத்துடன் மருத்துவமனைக்கு வந்திருந்தார் நித்தியானந்தா.

சோர்ந்து போய் திரும்பிய நித்தியானந்தா சோதனைகள் பல கட்டமாக நடத்தப்பட்டன. அவை முடிந்ததும் சோர்ந்து போன முகத்துடன் வெளியே வந்தார் நித்தியானந்தா.

போலீஸார் அதிருப்தி ஆனால் நித்தியானந்தா ஆண்மை சோதனைக்கு முழுமையாக ஒத்துழைக்கவில்லை என்றும் இதனால் சில முக்கிய சோதனைகளை டாக்டர்கள் நடத்த முடியவில்லை என்றும் சிஐடி போலீஸ் தரப்பில் அதிருப்தி தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

முழுமையான சோதனை அல்ல இதுகுறித்து சிஐடி அதிகாரி ஒருவர் கூறுகையில் நித்தியானந்தாவுக்கு நடந்தது முழுமையான சோதனை அல்ல. எனவே இதன் மூலம் முழுமையான உண்மைகள் தெரிய வராது என்றார்.

"ஊசி போட விடாமல் தடுத்தார் நித்தியானந்தா" ஆண்மை சோதனையின்போது தாம்பத்தியம் கொள்ளும் அளவுக்கு தகுதி இருக்கிறதா என்பதை அறிய போடப்படும் ஊசியை போட விடாமல் தடுத்து விட்டார் நித்தியானந்தா. அந்த சோதனை முக்கியமானது. ஆனால் அது நடத்தப்படவில்லை என்று சிஐடி போலீஸார் கூறுகிறார்கள்.

மீண்டும் கோர்ட்டுக்குப் போவோம் நித்தியானந்தாவிடம் நடத்தப்பட்ட சோதனையின் முடிவுகள் கைக்கு வந்த பின்னர் அதை ஆராய்வோம். தேவைப்பட்டால் மீண்டும் சோதனை நடத்த அனுமதி கோரி கோர்ட்டை நாடுவோம் என்றும் சிஐடி தரப்பில் கூறப்படுகிறது.
