Self-styled godman Nithyananda Paramahamsa , who is being probed by the Karnataka CID police for his alleged sexual exploits, has apparently gone absconding.

Both Tamil Nadu and Karnataka police are reportedly on a lookout for the controversial guru for questioning, however, he is reportedly evading them.

Meanwhile, the Tamil Nadu  government has issued a notice to Nithyananda's Dhyanapeetam  (ashram) in Tiruvannamalai to bring it under its control.

The move comes in the wake of a petition filed by the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments department in a Madurai court seeking control of the Madurai Adheenam and the high drama that ended in the godman being stripped of the title of junior pontiff of the mutt.

The Tiruvannamalai HR&CE joint commissioner issued the notice to the ashram authorities recently.

Govt seeks to take control of Nithyananda’s ashram

 CHENNAI: The Tamil Nadu government has issued a notice to self-styled godman Nithyananda's Dhyanapeetam (ashram) in Tiruvannamalai to bring it under its control. The move comes in the wake of a petition filed by the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments department in a Madurai court seeking control of the Madurai Adheenam and the high drama that ended in the godman being stripped of the title of junior pontiff of the mutt.

The Tiruvannamalai HR&CE joint commissioner issued the notice to the ashram authorities recently. "Following various allegations against the ashram, the government wants to bring it under its ambit using Section 59 of the HR&CE Act," said an official. The section empowers the government to bring any ashram or mutt under its control to monitor all financial and asset dealings and ensure submission of annual accounts to the HR&CE commissioner. This is the first time such a notice has been issued. "The ashram has collected donations and the notice seeks to bring the ashram under state purview," said the official. The ashram has sought 15 days' time to reply.

Efforts to reach ashram authorities failed. The ashram, started by Nithyananda in 2006, is located near the Tiruvannamalai temple. The 2.5-acre land, on the base of a hill, was donated by Bhanu Nainar to Nithyananda, a native of Tiruvannamalai, who was earlier Rajasekar.

"It used to be agricultural land but later became barren. Bhanu Nainar donated the land as Nithyananda wanted to start a branch of his ashram in his native place," said Sethu, a photojournalist based in Tiruvannamalai.

Nithyananda visits the ashram often and delivers lectures and conducts meditation class, said Sethu. The Tiruvannamalai ashram has prayer, meditation and dining halls besides rooms for visitors to stay.

The headquarters of Dhyanapeetam is situated in Bidadi, near Bangalore and cases have been filed against this ashram by the Karnataka government.

The HR&CE department had filed a petition in a Madurai court seeking to take control of the Madurai Adheenam after protests broke out over Nithyananda's anointment as successor to Arunagirinathar Desikar, the present head.

TN, Karnataka police issue lookout notice for absconding self-styled godman Nithyananda

Chennai/Bangalore, Oct. 30 (ANI): Police in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka have issued separate lookout notices for absconding self-styled godman Nithyananda Paramahamsa.

It maybe recalled that CID police in Karnataka is probing Nithyananda for his alleged sexual exploits.

Nithyananda , who was asked to step down from the position of the Madurai Adheenam Mutt pontiff, was accused of rape by one of his followers recently.

Arathi Rao contended that she was repeatedly raped by Nithyananda.

The Tamil Nadu Government had earlier approached a local court seeking the sacking of Nithyananda from the Mutt on the grounds that his appointment was illegal.Police in the state is also searching for him for allegedly conspiring to sell properties owned by the Adheenam Mutt.

Police in Karnataka is monitoring Nithyananda's ashram near Bidadi on the outskirts of Bangalore.

Nithyananda has been waging a legal battle with his former disciples, who have turned against him.

He came into the limelight after his sex tapes, which allegedly featured a Tamil actress, were aired by leading TV news channels. (ANI)

Self-styled godmanNithyananda Paramahamsa, who is being probed by the Karnataka CID police for his alleged sexual exploits, has apparently gone absconding. Both Tamil Nadu and Karnataka police are on a lookout for the controversial guru for questioning, however, he is reportedly evading them.

Nithyananda, who was asked to step down from the position of the Madurai Adheenam Mutt pontiff, had been accused of rape by one of his followers recently. After the victim Arathi Rao contended that she was repeatedly raped by Nithyananda, the Adheenam Mutt senior pontiff sacked him. In addition, the Tamil Nadu government had approached a local court seeking the sacking of Nithyananda from the Mutt on the grounds that his appointment was illegal.

The Tamil Nadu police have been searching forNithyanandafor allegedly conspiring to sell properties owned by the Adheenam Mutt. However, Nithyananda, who got wind of the police operation, allegedly went underground. The Tamil Nadu police have informed their Karnataka counterparts, who too are monitoring Nithyananda's ashrama near Bidadi on Bangalore's outskirts.

"The Tamil Nadu police have asked us to inform them if Nithyananda turns up at the Bidadi ashrama. Apparently, they want to inquire into one of the cases relating to the Adheenam Mutt. We too are watching his movements," a senior police officer from the city, maintained.

Nithyananda has been waging a legal battle with his former disciples, who have turned against him. Nithyananda even went to the extent of lodging a complaint against Arathi Rao, accusing her of blackmailing him forRs.25 lakhs. He also accused her of morphing CDs and releasing them to the media. Nithyananda shot to limelight after his sex tapes allegedly featuring a Tamil actress were aired by leading TV news channels.

Arathi Rao recently obtained anticipatory bails from courts in Karnataka as well as Tamil Nadu where Nithyananda had filed complaints against her of criminal conspiracy.

Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments (HR&CE) Department of Tamil Nadu Govt sent a Takeover Notice to Nithyananda’s Tiruvannamalai Ashram. 15 days time has been given for filing reply. 

Nithyananda Dhyanapeetam ashram, nearly 5 years old, is situated adjoining the path used by public for the “Girivalam” (circumambulation around the holy hill). It is located between the highly used Girivala path and the mountain base. The 2.5 acre land claimed to have been donated by a local devotee is said to have encroached the adjoining forest land. 

The ashram being close to the public path, housing many “Murthys” ( idols of various Gods and Godesses) and conducting poojas, it is visited by the pilgrims lacs of whom perform the holy circumambulation (pradakshina) around the mountain during Pournami (full moon days) days. Many such temples on the Girivala path, though started and run by private parties have been taken over by HR&CE as per the provisions in the HR&CE act.

மதுரை ஆதீன மடத்தின் இளைய ஆதீனமாக நித்யானந்தா நியமிக்கப்பட்டதை எதிர்த்து தொடரப்பட்ட பொது நலன் மனு மீதான விசாரணை இன்று சென்னை உயர்நீதிமன்றத்தில் வந்தது.

அப்போது, நித்யானந்தா சார்பில் ஆஜரான வழக்குரைஞர் ராஜகோபால், நித்யானந்தா நீக்கப்பட்டதாக அதிகாரப்பூர்வமான தகவல் எதுவும் நித்யானந்தாவுக்கு கிடைக்கவில்லை என்று கூறினார்.

இதேப்போல, மனுதாரர் சார்பில் வாதிட்ட வழக்குரைஞரும், ஆதீனம் அருணகிரிநாதர், நித்யானந்தா நீக்கப்பட்டதாக செய்தியாளர்களிடம் மட்டுமே தெரிவித்தார். இது அதிகாரப்பூர்வமாக எடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளதா என்பது தெரியவில்லை என்று குறிப்பிட்டார்.

திருவண்ணாமலை கிரிவல பாதையில் 2.6 ஏக்கரில் நித்யானந்தாவுக்கு ஆசிரமம் உள்ளது. 6 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்பு இதனை அமைத்தார். இந்த இடத்தை உள்ளூர் பக்தர் ஒருவர் தானமாக கொடுத்ததாக கூறப்படுகிறது. கர்நாடக மாநிலம் பிடரியில் தலைமை அலுவலகம் உள்ளது.

அங்கிருந்து எல்லா ஆசிரமங்களையும் நிர்வகித்து வந்தார். இந்த நிலையில் நித்யானந்தா திடீரென இளைய ஆதீனமாக நியமிக்கப்பட்டார். நித்யானந்தா இளைய ஆதீனமாக நியமிக்கப்பட்டதற்கு பலத்த எதிர்ப்பு தெரிவித்து வழக்குகள் தொடரப்பட்டது.

அதோடு மதுரை ஆதீனத்தையும் அதன் சொத்துகளையும் கையகப்படுத்த நடவடிக்கை எடுத்தது. இதையடுத்து இளைய ஆதீனமாக இருந்த நித்யானந்தாவை அருணகிரிநாதர் திடீரென நீக்கினார். 

இந்த நிலையில் திருவண்ணாமலையில் உள்ள நித்யானந்தாவின் ஆசிரமத்தை கையகப்படுத்த இந்து அறநிலையத்துறை இறங்கியுள்ளது. அதற்காக உதவி ஆணையர் ஜோதி கையெழுத்திட்ட நோட்டீஸ் நித்யானந்தாவுக்கு அனுப்பப்பட்டுள்ளது.

இதுகுறித்து இந்து அறநிலையத்துறை அதிகாரி ஒருவர் கூறியதாவது:- 

நித்யானந்தா ஆசிரமத்தில் கோவில் உள்ளது. அங்கு தினசரி பூஜைகள் நடக்கிறது. இதில் ஏராளமான பொதுமக்கள் கலந்து கொள்கின்றனர். பொதுமக்கள் வழிபடும் கோவில்களை தனிநபர் சொந்த செலவில் உருவாக்கி நிர்வகித்தாலும் அறநிலையதுறை அதை தனது கட்டுபாட்டில் கொண்டுவர சட்டத்தில் இடம் உள்ளது. 

அந்த அடிப்படையில் நித்யானந்தாவின் ஆசிரமத்தை கையகப்படுத்த நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. நோட்டீசுக்கு பதிலளிக்க 15 நாள் அவகாசம் அளிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது என்றார். 

கிரிவல பாதையில் ஏற்கனவே தனிநபர்கள், டிரஸ்ட்கள் நிர்வகித்து வந்த ஏராளமான கோவில்களை அறநிலையத்துறை தனது கட்டுப்பாட்டின் கீழ் நிர்வகித்து வருகிறது.

Plea against Madurai Adheenam head posted to Nov 9

Madurai: A court Tuesday posted to November 9 for hearing a case filed by Tamil Nadu government seeking removal of the head of a 1,500-year old Saivaite mutt, who recently sacked the controversial appointment of self-styled godman Nithyananda as his junior. 

Principal Sub-Court court judge Gurviah posted the hearing to November 9 after counsel for Madurai Adheenam submitted that they have already sacked Nithyananda.

The counsel said that the trust formed by the Adheeenam had also been dissolved. The sub-court could not take up the case as another petition filed by Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment opposing Nithyananda's appointment holding it violated rules and mutt traditions was pending before the Madras High Court. 

The Adheenam had on October 19 sacked Nithyananda, an appointment which had attracted widespread condemnation from various quarters including the Tamil Nadu Government.

Sri Arunagirinathar, the 292nd head of Madurai Adheenam, who had named Nithyananda as his successor to the highly revered mutt in April last, removed him as pressure mounted from the state government and other Hindu mutts and outfits besides devotees against the appointment. 

The appointment was opposed on the ground that he was unfit for the post as he faced serious criminal charges including rape in Karnataka where his ashram near Bangalore was recently embroiled in a controversy after a US-based woman and some others alleged sexual exploitation, a charge he has denied.

The Tamil Nadu government has reportedly sent a notice to Nithyananda's organisation, expressing its intention to take over the controversial godman's mutt in Tiruvannamalai. It may be recalled that, in a sudden turn of events, the head of Madurai Aadheenam recently announced removal of the Nithyananda  as the junior pontiff of the mutt, a leading monastery of the Shaivite order. Speaking to reporters in Madurai, the Madurai Aadheenam's 292nd pontiff Sri Arunagirinatha Gnanasambanda Desika Paramacharya said Nithyananda has been removed from the position of junior pontiff. His dismissal followed the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment department moving a local court seeking removal of Arunagirinathar himself and opposing Nithyananda's appointment holding that it violated rules and mutt traditions. இதனால் நித்யானந்தாவை உடனடியாக டிஸ்மிஸ் செய்த அருணகிரிநாதர்,  நித்தியால் தன் உயிருக்கு ஆபத்து என மதுரை போலீஸ் கமிஷனரிடம் புகார் கொடுத்துள்ளார். கைது செய்யப்படலாம் என்ற தகவல் பரவியதும், திருவண்ணாமலை ஆசிரமத்தில் இருந்து நித்யானந்தா தன் முக்கிய சீடர்களுடன் தப்பிவிட்டார். ஊழியர்கள் மட்டுமே இப்போது அங்கு தங்கியிருக்கின்றனர்.

நித்யானந்தாவின் ஆசிரமத்தை கையகப்படுத்தும் நடவடிக்கையில் இந்து சமய அறநிலைய துறை இறங்கியுள்ளது. அதற்காக உதவி ஆணையர் எம்.ஜோதி கையெழுத்திட்ட நோட்டீஸ் நித்யானந்தாவுக்கு அனுப்பப்பட்டுள்ளது. லட்சக்கணக்கான பக்தர்கள் பவுர்ணமி தோறும் கிரிவலம் செல்லும் பாதையை ஒட்டி பொது இடத்தில் நித்தி ஆசிரமமும் அதனுள் கோயிலும் கட்டப்பட்டுள்ளது.  ஏராளமான சாமி சிலைகளை வைத்து தினசரி வழிபாடு நடக்கிறது. பொதுமக்களும் வந்து செல்கின்றனர். பொதுமக்கள் வழிபடும் கோயில்களை தனி நபர்கள் சொந்த செலவில் உருவாக்கி நிர்வகித்தாலும், அறநிலையத்துறை அதை தனது கட்டுப்பாட்டில் கொண்டுவர சட்டத்தில் இடமுள்ளது. அந்த அடிப்படையில் நித்யானந்தாவின் ஆசிரமத்தை கையகப்படுத்த நடவடிக்கை மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டுள்ளதாக ஜோதி தெரிவித்தார்.

கிரிவல பாதையில் தனி நபர்கள் மற்றும் டிரஸ்ட்டுகள் நிர்வகித்து வந்த காமாட்சியம்மன் கோயில், காளியம்மன் கோயில், தட்சிணாமூர்த்தி கோயில், பழனியாண்டவர் கோயில், வீர ஆஞ்சநேயர் கோயில், மகா சக்தி மாரியம்மன் கோயில், ராஜராஜேஸ்வரி கோயில் உள்ளிட்ட ஏராளமான கோயில்களை, ஏற்கனவே அறநிலையத்துறை கையகப்படுத்தி தனது நிர்வாகத்தின் கீழ் கொண்டு வந்திருக்கிறது. நித்யானந்தா ஆசிரமம் கையகப்படுத்தப்பட்ட பின்னரும் பூஜைகள் தொடர்ந்து நடக்கும் என அதிகாரிகள் தெரிவித்தனர். நோட்டீசுக்கு பதில் அளிக்க 15 நாள் அவகாசம் அளிக்க்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

மோதல் வழக்கில் சிக்காமல் தப்பிக்க 169 தங்க காசுகளை தந்தார் நித்தி கிரீடம், செங்கோல் கொடுத்தார் ஆதீனம்

மதுரை : மோதல் விவகாரம் போலீஸ் ஸ்டேஷன் வரை சென்று விட்டதால் நித்யானந்தா வழக்கில் சிக்காமல் தப்பிக்க மதுரை ஆதீன மடத்தில் இருந்து அபகரித்து சென்ற 169 தங்க காசுகளை ஆதீனத்திடம் ஒப்படைத்தார். இதன் பிறகு ஆதீனம் தன்னிடம் இருந்த தங்க மோதிரங்கள், கிரீடம், செங்கோலை நித்யானந்தா சீடரிடம் திருப்பி கொடுத்தார்.

மதுரை ஆதீன வாரிசு பதவியில் இருந்து நித்யானந்தா நீக்கப்பட்டதைத் தொடர்ந்து, அவருக்குரிய கட்டில், சொகுசு மெத்தை, ஆடம்பர பொருட்கள் 3 லாரிகளில் பெங்களூருக்கு அனுப்பப்பட்டன. தங்க மோதிரங்கள், கிரீடம், வெள்ளிச் செங்கோல் உள்ளிட்ட பொருட்களை அனுப்பாமல் மடத்தில் ஆதீனம் வைத்திருந்தார்.

இதைக் கேட்டு நித்யானந்தா தனது சீடர்களை ஆதீன மடத்திற்கு அனுப்பினார். இதற்கு ஆதீனம், “எனது கனகாபிஷேகத்தின்போது எனக்கு அபிஷேகம் செய்யப்பட்ட தங்க காசுகளை நித்யானந்தா அள்ளிச் சென்றுள்ளார். அந்த தங்க காசுகளையும், பென்ஸ் கார் மற்றும் ஆவணங்களை ஒப்படைத்தால் தான், கிரீடம், செங்கோல், மோதிரங்களை தருவேன்Ó என்று நிபந்தனை விதித்தார். இதனால் ஆதீனம், நித்யானந்தா இடையே மோதல் ஏற்பட்டது.

இந்த விவகாரம் தொடர்பாக மதுரை விளக்கு தூண் போலீசில் இரு தரப்பிலும் புகார் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டது. போலீஸ் அதிகாரிகள் விசாரணை நடத்தினர். ஆதீனம், “தங்க காசுகளை நித்யானந்தா உடனே ஒப்படைக்க வேண்டும், அதன் பிறகு என்னிடமுள்ள அவரது பொருட்களை திருப்பி கொடுக்க தயாராக இருக்கிறேன். மீறினால் மதுரை ஆதீன மடத்தில் இருந்து தங்ககாசுகளை அபகரித்து சென்று விட்டதாக நித்யானந்தா மீது போலீசில் எழுத்து பூர்வமாக புகார் அளிப்பேன்Ó என்றார்.

ஏற்கனவே பாலியல் புகாரில் சிக்கியுள்ள நிலையில், ஆதீனம் ஒரு புகார் அளித்தால் அந்த வழக்கிலும் நித்யானந்தா சிக்கும் நிலை உருவானது. இதிலிருந்து தப்பிக்க நித்யானந்தா தனது முடிவை மாற்றிக் கொண்டார். நேற்று முன்தினம் இரவு அவசரமாக தனது சீடர் ரிஷிதயாவிடம் 169 தங்க காசுகள், பென்ஸ் கார் ஆகியவற்றை மதுரைக்கு அனுப்பி வைத்தார். இதை மடத்தில் ஆதீனத்திடம் ரிஷிதயா ஒப்படைத்தார். வாரிசு நியமன ஆவணம் பெங்களூரு நீதிமன்றத்தில் இருப்பதால் பின்னர் ஒப்படைப்பதாக தெரிவித்தார்.

இதன் பிறகு மடத்தில் தன் பொறுப்பில் வைக்கப்பட்டு இருந்த நித்யானந்தாவுக்குரிய 15 தங்க மோதிரங்கள், கிரீடம், வெள்ளி செங்கோல், ருத்ராட்ச காதணி, தங்க முலாம் பூசப்பட்ட காலணி, 2 கிலோ வெள்ளி பொருட்கள் ஆகியவற்றை நித்யானந்தா அனுப்பிய சீடர் ரிஷியிடம் திருப்பி கொடுத்தார். இந்த பரிமாற்றங்கள் ஆதீன மடத்தில் போலீஸ் இன்ஸ்பெக்டர் கதிர்வேல் முன்னிலையில் நடைபெற்றது. தொடர்ந்து ஆதீன மடத்திற்கு போலீஸ் பாதுகாப்பு போடப்பட்டுள்ளது.
