Nithyananda’s potency test report submitted

The medical report of the self-styled godman Nithyananda, who underwent a potency test last week at the Institute of Nephro-Urology, was submitted to the Criminal Investigation Department on Monday. Hospital authorities said he had undergone all tests except the penile Doppler study with intra-cavernous injection.
The Supreme Court had directed Nithyananda to undergo a potency test in a 2010 rape case, and he was subjected to tests on September 8.
Refusing to divulge details, the Medical Superintendent of the Victoria Hospital T. Durganna told reporters here on Monday that they submitted an extensive report on the tests.
He said none of the tests were forced upon the godman, and he had not permitted audio or video recording. Some tests include blood tests and ultra-sound test.
Asked if the tests were enough to assess potency, he said, “I think it is enough. But the ultimate call will have to be taken by the investigation officer or the court,” said Dr. Durganna.
Dr. Durganna also acknowledged that a legal notice has been served by Nithyananda’s lawyers to the Institute of Nephro-Urology. He refused to elaborate.
However, sources said this was only the preliminary report and results of more tests were awaited.
