Nithyananda bail may be cancelled

CID officials in Karnataka are considering filing a petition in court to cancel the bail that has been given to Nithyananda. It is alleged that the witnesses against Nithyananda are being increasingly threatened by the godman's devotees. An official source said that the CID is worried that the witnesses will turn hostile. Nithyananda was arrested after he was seen in a compromising position with a Tamil actress, the video of which was aired in a private television channel. He was arrested on grounds of rape and hurting religious sentiments and spent a few days in jail as well. Of late, cases have been filed against Lenin, the key witness, and officer Yogappa for trespassing, which has influenced the idea of the getting the bail cancelled. Already a lot of witnesses, including actress Ranjitha, have turned hostile owing to pressure from the devotees of Nithyananda though they initially promised to speak against him. Reports also indicate that the report against Nithyananda is 90% complete.
