Hindu People's party has filed a complaint against Nithyananda. The complaint says that Nithyananda is now seeking the support of Hindu religion in order to escape from his sex scandal. Chennai Police Commissioner Thripati has agreed to investigate the matter.

In Coimbatore MP Natarajan and MLA Arumugam said the following to the press:
"In the name of spirituality fake swamis like Nithyananda make women and men jump up and down as if they were drugged and possessed."
The MP and MLA has requested the Tamilnadu government to take severe action against such fake gurus in order to expose there real face.
