The videotape was sent for forensic verification by the CID, which is investigating the case. The forensic experts have certified that the tape is “original, unedited and untampered. It has not been morphed,” said the source. Now the agency has asked the forensic experts for the video-authentification of the tape to rule out any possible doubt, of a Nithyananda look-alike in the tape. The video allegedly had the tainted guru with the Tamil actress Ranjitha in a compromising position.
The originality of the tape was questioned by his ashram – the Dhyanapeetham – and Nithyananda all through remained evasive when questioned if the man in the video footage was him. He however, on occasions reportedly identified the lady in the tape as Ranjitha but she had denied it.
