CID gets SC order on Nithyananda

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on Thursday received a copy of the Supreme Court order that calls for self-styled godman Nithyananda to undergo a potency test.

The Ramanagaram court had ordered that the godman, accused of rape, undergo a potency test. Nityananda had challenged the order in the High Court.

When the High Court quashed his plea, he had approached the Supreme Court.

A CID officer confirmed receipt of the Supreme Court order.

திருவண்ணாமலை மாவட்டத்தில் பள்ளிகளில் காலியாக இருக்கும் ஆசிரியர் பணியிடங்களை நிரப்ப வேண்டும், கல்வித்தரத்தை உயர்த்த வேண்டும் என்பன உள்பட பல்வேறு கோரிக்கைகளை வலியுறுத்தி திருவண்ணாமலை பஸ் நிலையம் அருகே மார்க்சிஸ்ட் கம்யூனிஸ்டு கட்சி சார்பில் ஆர்ப்பாட்டம் நடந்தது.

மாநில செயற்குழு உறுப்பினர் கே.சாமுவேல்ராஜன், மாவட்ட செயலாளர் எம்.வீரபத்திரன் மற்றும் பலர் பேசினர். மாநில செயலாளர் ஜி.ராமகிருஷ்ணன் சிறப்பு அழைப்பாளராக கலந்து கொண்டு பேசினார்.

சிறப்பு வகுப்புகள்

அப்போது ஏழை குழந்தைகளின் கல்விக்காக கம்யூனிஸ்டு கட்சி போராடி வருகிறது. தமிழ்நாடு முழுவதும் ஆரம்ப பள்ளிகளில் மாணவர்களின் எண்ணிக்கை குறைந்து வருகிறது. உயர்நிலை, மேல்நிலை பள்ளிகளில் 1411 ஆசிரியர் பணியிடங்கள் காலியாக இருக்கிறது.

திருவண்ணாமலை மாவட்டத்தில் ஆசிரியர் பற்றாக்குறையே கல்வியில் பின்தங்கியிருப்பதற்கு காரணம். 10 மற்றும் 12–ம் வகுப்பு பொது தேர்வுக்கு முன்பு மாணவ– மாணவிகளுக்கு சிறப்பு வகுப்புகள் நடத்த வேண்டும்.

பெற்றோர்களிடத்தில் ஆங்கில மோகம் அதிகரித்து விட்டதால் அரசு பள்ளி ஆசிரியர்களுக்கு உரிய பயிற்சி அளிக்க வேண்டும். திருவண்ணாமலை மாவட்டத்தின் கல்வி தரத்தை உயர்த்த ஆசிரியர் காலி பணியிடங்களை நிரப்ப வேண்டும். இல்லாவிட்டால் ஆசிரியர்களை நியமிக்கும் வரை காத்திருப்பு போராட்டம் நடத்தப்படும்.

அடுத்த சர்ச்சைக்கு அடித்தளம் அமைத்திருக்கிறார் நித்தியானந்தா!

 பெங்களூரில் உள்ள 'சமயா’ என்ற லோக்கல் சேனலில் ஹரித்துவாருக்கு யாத்திரை சென்ற சிலரது பேட்டி ஒளிபரப்பானது. அந்தப் பேட்டியில், ''யோகா மற்றும் தியானப் பயிற்சி முகாம் நடத்துவதற்காக ஹரித்துவாரில் உள்ள சரோவர் ஹோட்டலில் நித்தி யானந்தாவும் அவரது சிஷ்யர்களும் தங்கியிருக்கிறார்கள். ஹரித்துவாருக்கு டூரிஸ்ட்களாக சென்ற நாங்கள் சரோவர் ஹோட்டல் மேனேஜர் பிரிஜேஷ் குமாரிடம் ரூம் கேட்டோம். இதைக் கவனித்த நித்தியானந்தா, 'கன்னடர்களை இங்கே தங்க அனுமதிக்கக் கூடாது’ என்று சொன்னார். அவர் சொன்னதால் எங்களுக்கு ரூம் கொடுக்கவில்லை'' என்று சொன்னார்கள்.

இந்தப் பேட்டி ஒளிபரப்பானதும் சில கன்னட அமைப்புகள் நித்தியானந்தாவுக்கு எதிராக போர்க்கொடித் தூக்கின. 'இனி, நித்தியானந்தா கர்நாடகாவுக்குள் வரக்கூடாது’ என்று ஆர்ப்பாட்டம் நடத்தினர். போராட்டத்துக்குத் தலைமையேற்று நடத்திய கர்நாடக ஜனப்ரா வேதிகா அமைப்பின் ஒருங்கிணைப்பாளர் ரமேஷ் கவுடா, ''எங்களுக்கும் நித்தியானந்தாவுக்கும் தனிப்பட்ட விரோதம் கிடையாது. அவர்மீது பல்வேறு குற்றச்சாட்டுக்கள் இன்னும் நிலுவையில் இருக்கின்றன. தன்னை கடவுள் என்றும், சிவன் என்றும் நித்தியானந்தா சொல்லிவருவது இந்து மதத்துக்கே பெருத்த அவமானம். இப்படிப்பட்டவர் ஹரித்துவாரில் உள்ள ஹோட்டலில் கன்னடர்களுக்கு ரூம் கொடுக்கக் கூடாது என்று சொல்லியிருக்கிறார். அவருக்கு வாழ்க்கைக் கொடுத்தது கர்நாடகா. அவரது ஆசிரமம் இருப்பது கர்நாடகா. இப்படி கர்நாடகாவை நம்பிப் பிழைக்கும் நித்தியானந்தா கர்நாடக மக்களையே கேவலப்படுத்தி இருக்கிறார். இனி நித்தியானந்தா எப்படி கர்நாடக மண்ணில் கால் வைக்கிறார் என்பதை நாங்களும் பார்க்கிறோம். நாங்கள் தமிழ் மக்களுக்கு எதிரானவர்கள் அல்ல. சாமியார் என்ற போர்வையில் கர்நாடக மக்களை ஏமாற்றுபவர்களைப் பார்த்துக்கொண்டு அமைதியாக இருக்க மாட்டோம்'' என்று கொந்தளித்தார்.

நித்தியானந்தா தரப்பு கருத்துக்களை அறிய பிடதி ஆசிரமத்துக்கு சென்றோம். ஆசிரமத்துக்குப் பலத்த போலீஸ் பாதுகாப்பு போடப்பட்டிருந்தது. ஆசிரமத்தில் இருக்கும் நிர்வாகிகள் நம்மிடம், ''சுவாமி ஹரித்துவாரில் இருக்கிறார். நீங்கள் குறிப்பிடும் விஷயங்களை சுவாமியின் கவனத்துக்குக் கொண்டுசெல்கிறோம். உங்களது மெயில் ஐ.டி-யைக் கொடுங்கள். நிச்சயம் சுவாமி பதில் அனுப்புவார்'' என்று சொன்னார்கள். சொன்னபடியே நமக்கு மெயிலில் பதில் கொடுத்திருந்தார் நித்தியானந்தா. ''நான் இந்த கர்நாடக தேசத்தை நேசிக்கிறேன். கன்னட மக்களையும் நேசிக்கிறேன். நானோ அல்லது என்னுடைய பிரதிநிதி எவருமோ கன்னட மக்களை ஹோட்டலில் தங்க அனுமதிக்க வேண்டாம் என்று ஹோட்டல் நிர்வாகத்திடம் சொல்லவில்லை. நாங்கள் மதத்தின் அடிப்படையிலோ, மொழியின் அடிப்படையிலோ எந்தவித தடைகளையும் ஏற்படுத்துவது இல்லை. நாங்கள் மொத்த மனித குலத்துக்கும் எங்கள் கதவுகளைத் திறந்து வைத்திருக்கிறோம். ஒவ்வொருவரையும் வரவேற்கிறோம். எதையோ என்னிடம் எதிர்பார்த்து சிலர் திட்டமிட்டு என்மீது பொய்யான புகார்களைப் பரப்பிவருகின்றனர். அவர்கள் மீது சட்டப்படி நடவடிக்கை எடுக்க எல்லா முயற்சிகளையும் செய்துவருகிறோம்'' என்று குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளார்.

ஹரித்துவாரில் உள்ள சரோவர் ஹோட்டல் மேனேஜர் பிரிஜேஷ் குமாரைத் தொடர்புகொண்டு பேசினோம். ''கர்நாடகாவில் இருந்து ஒளிபரப்பாகும் தொலைக்காட்சியில் எங்களது ஹோட்டலைப் பற்றி தவறான தகவல் வெளியாகியுள்ளது. ஊரைப் பார்த்து நாங்கள் யாருக்கும் அறை கொடுப்பது கிடையாது. யார் வேண்டுமானாலும் எங்கள் ஹோட்டலுக்கு வரலாம். அவர்களது அடையாள அட்டையைக் காட்டினால் நிச்சயம் ரூம் கொடுப்போம். நித்தியானந்தா எங்கள் ஹோட்டலில்தான் தங்கியிருக்கிறார். அவர் சொல்லி, கர்நாடகாவைச் சேர்ந்தவர்களுக்கு நாங்கள் ரூம் கொடுக்கவில்லை என்று சொல்வது வேடிக்கையாக இருக்கிறது'' என்று சொன்னார்.

Sex Swami Nithyananda arrested in Himachal

Solan/Bangalore: Controversial self-styled godman Nithyananda Swami, who was absconding for over a month in the wake of an alleged sex scandal, was on Wednesday arrested in Solan in Himachal Pradesh.

Nithyananda and four of his associates were arrested from a house in Mamlig village under Akri police station area in Solan District in a joint operation by policemen from Bangalore and Himachal Pradesh, Deputy Commissioner, Solan, Amar Singh Rathore said.

He said Nithyananda, who is believed to have been living in the Solan village for the last one month, and his associates have been taken to Arki police station.

Nithyananda was arrested on Wednesday in a joint operation of the Karnataka and Himachal Pradesh police force.

Bangalore Criminal Investigation Department, investigating cases filed against Nithyananda, said it had recently seized some documents and articles during a raid on his ashram at Bidadi, about 35 km from Solan.

During the raid by a 15-member CID team, some documents pertaining to the ashram, computers and its hardware had been taken away by police, which had also questioned several ashramites, including Nithyananda's brother Nityeshwara.

Police were on the look out for Nithyananda who had allegedly indulged in sleazy activities and a purported video footage, aired by regional TV channels, had showed him in a compromising position with a Tamil actress.

Tamil Nadu police had registered cases against Nithyananda for various offences under IPC including rape. The cases are under investigation by Karnataka police, to whom they were transferred to.

Nithyananda had announced that he had quit as the head of his ashram in Karnataka and associated trusts to lead a life of 'spiritual seclusion'.
