NEWS9: Nithyananda arrives for potency test

Nithyananda has undergone ultrasound tests at the victoria hospital. The test was conducted by a group of 4 doctors. the 4 member team consisted of a forensic medicine expert, a urologist, a psychiatrist and a general physician. nithyananda arrived at the hospital along with his disciples on an empty stomach for the tests. It has been revealed that the self styled godman suffers from blood pressure and diabetes . Nithyananda will also be subjected to a voice test at an FSl lab in madiwala. two cars have been kept ready for the god man to be whicked away to madiwala lab, At the lab the voice of the person will be compared to the voice that had threatened the complainant. The police will try to find through voice tests whther it was nithyananda who was behind the call. An NRI woman devotee had lodged a complaint against the godman allegeing that he sexually abused her during her stay in the ashram at Bidadi. Nithyananda had approached the Supreme Court challenging the order of Karnataka High Court which directed him to take the test. But the apex court ruled that the godman will have to undergo the test.

Bangalore: Self-styled godman Swami Nityananda, who is facing criminal charges, including rape, has been brought to the Victoria hospital on Monday for a medical test to determine his potency levels as directed by the Supreme Court last week. Nityananda is facing charges of rape, cheating, unnatural offences and criminal intimidation by some of his former devotees. He was first arrested in Himachal Pradesh in 2010, but was later released on bail in the same year. Nityananda is being tried in Bangalore and had earlier filed a writ petition in the Karnataka High Court seeking Rs.10 crore as damages to his ashram property from the state government.

Karna HC stays probe against former disciple of Nithyananda

PTI | 09:10 PM,Oct 03,2012 Bangalore, Oct 3 (PTI): Karnataka High Court today stayed further proceedings before a local court against a former disciple of self-proclaimed controversial godman Nityananda and two others in a criminal case filed against them by an actress Justice H N Nagamohan Das stayed further proceedings in the case before the court at Ramanagara on a criminal petition filed by Ranjitha, seeking quashing of the case. In June, the court had issued a non-bailable warrant to Lenin Karuppan and third summons to co-accused Aarti Rao and advocate Sridhar in the case filed by the actress. Ranjitha had filed a private complaint on Dec 30 2010 at Ramnagara Magistrate Court in Bangalore against the three, charging them with criminal intimidation, criminal conspiracy and outraging her modesty in connection with attempting to link her through a morphed video with Nithyananda. The Magistrate took cognizance and issued summons to all three on June 4 2011. Lenin failed to appear before the court, following which a NBW was issued against him, while the other two were issued a second summons on August 2 2011. Arathi Rao is a resident of Detroit, USA.
